Beautiful Tutu Skirt with little effort! A great beginner project!

In this tutorial, you will learn how to make an easy tutu skirt. This is a great sewing for beginners project as it has only one seam and the rest is created with a no sew technique. We also created a matching headband which you can check out here.

Supplies Needed

2 yds Glitter Tulle Fabric  you can also get it without glitter.

OR  you can purchase Tulle on a ROLL in a 6″ width x 100 yds (300 feet). Choose a Solid Colour or have some fun with an Assorted Colour pack.

1/2 yd Decorative Crochet Elastic Trim

OR this could be a No-Sew project IF the waistband measurement is small enough to use a Head Band instead. (If so, you won’t need the Bias Tape, Needle and Thread!)

Seam Stabilizer – Bias Tape

Thread – I like Guterman Thread but any brand is will do.

Needle – Hand Sewing Needles. If using a sewing machine, use a needle that is compatible with your machine. Check your owner’s manual to learn what is suitable.
