Happy Friday! Are you ready for the long weekend?
I have been patiently waiting for this weekend for a while now. I’m due for some well-deserved downtime after the past few busy weeks. Despite the rush, I did manage to enjoy some quality time with my family on Mother’s Day. I hope our SewKids’ Mom’s enjoyed their day too.
Our Mother's Day Gift Workshop was a great success!
Now that Mother’s Day has passed, I can finally share what we did for our Mother’s Day Gift Workshop without spoiling the surprise! We created the most adorable fabric tulips as our special gift for mom. It was an absolute hit with the kids and the moms!
My goal was to design an easy project that would appeal to both kids and moms, be easy enough to make during our 1/2 day workshop and that it had a lot of wow factor. I have to say, this project did not disappoint. In fact, one of our first-time students left our workshop so inspired and feeling empowered that she went home and created two more bouquets for her grandmothers!
Testimonials like these make my day. Knowing that it has made an impression on the kids makes it worthwhile. After all, this is the reason I created SewKids!
